NAWADA PILOT TRAINING IN ABUJA DIOCESE

The training of key NAWADA volunteers from Abuja Diocese, contact persons from Abuja Archdeaconries, Administrators and Teachers from Anglican Secondary Schools were in attendance. The training emphasized the 3 by 5 strategic approach of NAWADA. The project strategic front is the family, schools, economic platforms, the church and the community. The Intervention approach will center on spiritual awakening, building life skills, strengthening school and family connectedness, economic empowerment, social mobilization, networking and partnership while the strategic stakeholders groups will be the families, the youths the church parishes, the community leaders and educational institutions.

32 participants were in attendance and the key facilitators were: Mr. Ayo, Ipinmoye,  Ven. Olayemi Fatusi, Mrs Abiodun Ipinmoye and Mr, Chibuike Ireogbu.

ACADI in the first quarter of 2022 focused on sensitization and first level training of key leaders in the diocese. These key leaders include:

• Sensitization of 56 clergy and wives at the Clergy’s retreat at St. Peters Guzape on January 25th 2022.
• Sensitization of 110 Clergy wives at St. Matthews Church Maitama on January 21st  and 22nd 2022
• Sensitization of 8 Educational Management Board members, 50 students, 45 teachers including: School Principals, Teachers and School Matrons on January 10th and 11th 2022. Anglican Schools in attendance include:  Anglican Girls Grammar School Apo, Anglican International Academy, Zudu, All Saints Junior Secondary School Wuse, Our Saviour’s Anglican Primary School Durumi, Saint Silas Excellent Academy Kobi, All Saints Primary school Kpaduma, Christ Nursery and Primary Kpaduma 3, Holy Trinity Anglican Primary School Mpape, Transfiguration Nursery and Primary School Gaduwa, Saint Barnabas Primary School Katampe, Saint Barnabas School Apo and Saint Stephen International School Kabusa.
